"Very polite, lots of choices.. I ate chicken dressing and beef stew with okra. I enjoyed the okra , the stew was okay the meat was tender I did not get a lot of veggies in my stew but the ones I did eat where good and tender. The dressing was off,I can't peg the taste but some kind of cornmeal mushy taste. The kids got Mac and cheese and one got beef stew and something else. My son got green beans they both got cornbread and my son got baked chicken breast. Sweet tea for all of us. There was a lot of wall decor, prices are good food is good. The parking could be better."

"I have been a Roman since 1980 when. I was born. This is my 1st visit to Stanley's. If you love Pick O Deli and are tired of how downhill their food has gotten, or that they're serving desserts made by Mrs. Smith & Patti LaBelle, Stanley's is the place for you. I was guaranteed that someone's Nana is chained to the stove in the back and their food reflects it. Their dressing is flavourful and not gritty, their mashed potatoes made from potatoes you peel and not powdered potatoes (and I know this cause lumps), Patti & Mrs. Smith don't make a chocolate chess pie WITH PECANS or cooked banana pudding. The folks there are super nice and seem to have a great rapport with their regulars. When they didn't have fried okra (which I wanted) they made me some and it was quick (and delish). It's also super clean in there. Tables, the place they serve from, the floors are all spotless. I'll be eating here regularly now this place's food is so good."
